Updated: Dec 8, 2018

Moms everywhere are starting to invest in organic clothing for their babies and small children. Is it worth it?

Is organic baby clothing worth it?

In short - the answer is yes.

There are a number of reasons why it's particularly important to go organic when it comes to dressing your little ones.

For one, conventional fabrics are incredibly harmful to the environment. Cotton production uses more pesticides than almost any other crop, and it's been said that a standard cotton t-shirt requires 1/3 of a pound of pesticides to produce.

Furthermore, standard cotton production kills thousands of farmers a year due to the toxic carcinogens they produce.

Finally, organic cotton is MUCH softer, lasts longer, and is better for children, particularly those with sensitive skin.

Where to begin?

Don't feel overwhelmed by going organic. You don't necessarily need to throw away every cute piece of clothing you've bought your kiddos over the years. But it's important to consider organic the next time you buy clothing for your little ones.
